Rental Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

1. Eligibility

All renters must be at least 25 years of age and hold a current, valid driver's licence. International visitors must present both their foreign licence and an International Driving Permit (IDP). Malachite Prestige reserves the right to decline any rental application at its sole discretion.

2. Booking & Payment

A valid credit or debit card is required at the time of booking. A security bond will be pre-authorised on your card prior to vehicle collection and released within 7 business days of return, subject to the vehicle being returned in the agreed condition. Rental rates are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST.

3. Vehicle Collection & Return

Vehicles must be collected and returned at the agreed time and location. Late returns will incur additional charges at the daily rental rate, pro-rated hourly. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection; a refuelling fee will apply otherwise.

4. Permitted Use

Rental vehicles may only be driven on sealed public roads within Western Australia unless prior written approval is obtained. Vehicles must not be used for any commercial purpose, sub-let, used in motorsport events, or driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Only the named renter(s) on the agreement may operate the vehicle.

5. Insurance & Liability

Comprehensive insurance is included in the rental rate. The renter remains liable for any excess or damage not covered by the insurance policy, including but not limited to: tyre damage, windscreen chips, interior damage, and damage resulting from prohibited use. The renter is fully liable for all traffic infringements and tolls incurred during the rental period.

6. Cancellations & Modifications

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours will forfeit the booking deposit. Malachite Prestige reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or greater value if the booked vehicle becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

7. Damage & Accidents

In the event of an accident or damage, the renter must notify Malachite Prestige immediately and obtain a police report where required. The vehicle must not be moved from the scene of an accident without police clearance if injuries are involved. The renter must not admit liability to any third party.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
